Hi! My name is Marla and I'm a Freelance artist and animator living in Vancouver, Canada
I have been working as an animator in Vancouver for the past 8 years, first as a rig based character animator and then as a 2D FX animator. I have done work for a variety of clients including facebook, atomic cartoons, ortomi robotics and spindlehorse. I eventually found success in online sales with pins, patches and stickers I had designed. You can see these on the etsy store link!
Previously I have graduated from ACAD in Calgary with a Bdes in Visual Communications, focus on illustration. I worked in Silk screening for 4 years upon graduation before moving to BC to pursue animation at Capilano University, where I graduated from their 2D commercial animation program with distinction.
My passions are drawing animals, 2d hand drawn effects, gaming, virtual pets and my cat Ouija. I hope you enjoy my body of work, thanks!
